Recruitment
It takes many kinds of people, in many different roles around the county, to keep our Service functioning well.
We employ around 280 wholetime firefighters, around 370 firefighters on the retained duty system, 30 control operators who answer 999 calls and mobilise our fire crews, and over 125 support staff who work in a whole variety of roles supporting the frontline, from vehicle technicians and project managers to cooks, administrators and accountants.
There are many job opportunities within Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service and you can enjoy a career with us, helping to keep people safe from fire, even if you don't want to be a firefighter.
Full details of all our current vacancies are listed below and you can navigate around the different pages of the recruitment section using the menu on the left to find out more about both operational and non-operational roles.
