Our equality and inclusion plans
Equality and Inclusion Strategy
Our latest equality and inclusion strategy includes an overview of our community and workforce and the issues identified, through monitoring, we need to address to carry out our public equality duty.
These issues are identified in terms of the protected characteristics set out in the Equality Act 2010 - age, disability, ethnicity (including nationality, race and colour), gender reassignment, pregnancy and maternity, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation.
An action plan lists the objectives we believe we need to achieve to address these issues, along with timescales and accountabilities. Our representative bodies, staff equality network, partners and community groups were invited to contribute to the strategy and action plan which can be viewed below.
