The Fire Fighters Charity

Formerly known as the Fire Services National Benevolent Fund (FSNBF)

Each year, we raise thousands of pounds for the Fire Fighters Charity.

The charity's inherent purpose remains the same though - to provide assistance to serving and retired fire and rescue service personnel (uniformed and support staff), their widows/widowers and young dependants by providing sheltered accommodation, recuperative facilities, rehabilitation and therapy, in addition to financial support for those who need it.  The charity has three UK centres which provide these support services, in addition to an HQ facility in Basingstoke, Hampshire.

The charity now assists approximately 11,000 beneficiaries every single year.

The charity's services cost upwards of £9m per annum to maintain, and these services are financed almost exclusively by the fundraising efforts of the charity.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service raises money for the charity through car washes, open days and other fundraising events.  Individual firefighters also compete in many sponsored activities to raise funds for the worth charity.

As a Service, we also receive donations from members of the public, wishing to give money to a charity of our choice as a token of their gratitude for the assistance we have given to them in an emergency or for the support we have given at their event. All such donations are given to The Fire Fighters Chairty.

If you would like to learn more about the charity, or would like to make a donation, visit The Fire Fighters Charity website.
