Station News and Events

We are currently recruiting retained firefighters at this station.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service need retained firefighters who can respond to emergency incidents such as fires, road traffic collisions and floods at all times of the day and night but particularly during daytime hours.

Retained firefighters are paid employees who attend the same emergency incidents as full-time firefighters. They may be at home, working for themselves, caring for a family, studying or working for a company. However, when they are on call and an emergency pager message comes through they join a professional team ready to face any emergency.

Retained firefighters also advise residents on fire and road safety matters. They do this by visiting schools, community events and people in their own homes.
