Monthly Spend Reports

Here you can view what we have spent money on, over £500, month by month.  

The Secretary of State for the Department of Communities and Local Government Eric Pickles, has called upon local authorities - which includes fire and rescue services - to provide greater financial transparency by publishing this information with effect from January 2011.  

The amounts shown exclude VAT as we claim VAT back. The monthly reports are shown in two formats, PDF and CSV. PDF is the easiest format to read the information but you cannot sort or analyse the data. The CSV format allows you to put the data into a spreadsheet if you need to.  

The columns show:

  • Expenditure Type (eg maintenance, cleaning, repairs)
  • Expenditure Type (eg building project work, cleaning contract, vehicles)
  • Payment Month
  • Invoice Month
  • Internal document number (our finance system reference)
  • Amount Paid excluding VAT
  • Expenditure Category (Revenue or Capital budget)
  • Supplier Name  

We aim to publish the reports here within seven working days after the end of the month.

Viewing CSV format data

Please note that the CSV format uses a standard column width and not all entries may be completely visible.

To view all of the data, you will need to expand the columns. You can do this in Microsoft Excel and most other spreadsheet software by selecting all the cells in the file (the grey box beside column A and above row 1), and then clicking on Format > Column > AutoFitSelection.
