Bob Lockerbie

Local Fire Station: Wisbech.

Before becoming a champion, I was a volunteer with Wisbech Police doing Speed Watch patrols in Wisbech and the surrounding villages throughout the Fenland Area. I decided to become a Champion because I was a Fire Fighter in the Royal Air Force for 10 Years and after seeing the advert in my local Community Centre, I realised that I had the skills set and experience to become a Community Champion and to give something back to the Community. After all, that was exactly what I was doing for the 10 Years I was an R.A.F. Fire Fighter.

My proudest moment in the role to date was meeting Cheif Fire Officer Strickland at the Wisbech/ NHS Blood Donor Sessions in November 2017 and having the opportunity to update him on the great work that the Champions do across the County.

Outside of being a champion I like to read and watch films as well as doing D.I.Y. and  taking our dog to the beech or woods for a run.
