Can partners help boost our community champion ranks?

Do you know a resident who would benefit from engaging more with their community?

Our partners regularly engage with a diverse range of people that may like to gain volunteer experience – and Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service’s community champion scheme is in need of more volunteers.

Our champions help us to deliver fire safety messages in the community and are our eyes and ears in the villages and towns they live in.

Community champions are given full training and support and carry out a wide range of activities from running fire safety sessions at community groups to supporting larger activities the Service hosts including safety events for children and vulnerable people.

If you know anyone suitable to become a community champion, please contact Katie at Groundwork, which manages the scheme: or 01480 587140.
