Have your say!
Every year we review what we are doing as a Service and make plans to meet our vision - working together to improve community safety. We also plan how we will use our resources. Every three years we review the impact of our equality plans and report on what we have achieved.
It is important to us to hear the views of the people we serve about our plans for the future and the way we use our resources. If your would like to be involved in giving us feedback on particular issues then please let us know by completing our online website feedback / general enquiries form.
Make a Freedom Of Information request
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 provides the general right of access to information which we hold, subject to a number of exemptions, such as where the information is personal information, which is protected by the Data Protection Act 1998, or where the cost of providing the information exceeds a certain limit.
Our Publication Scheme lists the information which we make available routinely, but for any information not listed here, you can make a request for information.
Compliments
We hope we are serving you well all of the time, but sometimes there are things we do that pleasantly surprise or impress you sufficiently enough for you to want to tell us that we did well. We always appreciate positive feedback and support, so if you have something you would like to say, please let us know. Offer a compliment.
Complaints
1. Complaints against members of the Fire Authority
You may complain to the Fire Authority's Standards Committee if you have a complaint against an elected member of the Fire Authority and you consider that the member has breached the Fire Authority's Member Code of Conduct. Complaints must be made in writing and should be submitted to the Monitoring Officer, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Fire Authority, Hinchingbrooke Cottage, Huntingdon, PE29 2NA. Further advice on the submission of complaints is available from the Monitoring Officer (01480 444615) or Democratic Services Manager (01480 444572) at the Fire Authority.
The Standards Committee can only deal with complaints about the behaviour of a Member. It will not deal with complaints about things that are not covered by the Members' Code of Conduct. If you make a complaint to the Standards Committee it must be about why you think a member has not followed the Authority's Code of Conduct. Download the Authority's Members' Code of Conduct and other Authority documents.
2. Complaints against the Service
We strive to provide the best service we can, to everyone, all of the time. But there may be times when you feel we could have done something better or we did something wrong. We hope these are rare occurances but we would like you to let us know when this does happen so we can ensure it doesn't happen again. We always appreciate suggestions for improvement, and so that you can convey your concerns to us, we offer contact details for making a complaint. Make a complaint using this online complaints form.
