Fire safety education: Key Stage 3
Arson About
Each year, we team up with StopWatch, one of the UK's most prolific educational theatre companies, to teach Year Eight students the hard lessons of playing with fire.
The hard-hitting messages are delivered as a piece of interactive drama in a bid to make young people think twice before setting fire to something. The play is centred around a typical arson incident that starts out as a piece of fun but ends in tragedy.
The play is successfully delivered to around 20 schools across the county each year in a joint venture between the fire service and the police.
It is hoped the powerful message stays with the young audience for a long time afterwards.
