Horse in Ditch - Wisbech - Fenland

06 February 2010, 3.14am

At 3.14am on Saturday February 6 one crew from Wisbech, a crew from Dogsthorpe and a rescue vehicle from Dogsthorpe were called to a horse which was trapped in a ditch on Hall Bank, in Tydd St Giles near Wisbech.

A neighbour had seen the horse trapped in the water filled ditch and alerted the fire service and RSPCA.

Crews arrived to find the horse in the ditch, but on all fours and not in distress.

Water trained firefighters tethered the horse and led it up the bank.

Crews returned to base by 5.13am.
