Chimney fire - Warboys - Huntingdonshire

At 5.10am this morning (23), one crew from Ramsey was called to a chimney fire on Fenton Road in Warboys.

Firefighters arrived and discovered a build up of debris in the chimney.

They used chimney gear, including chimney rods to dislodge the blockage and extinguish the fire.

The fire was contained to the chimney.

Crews returned to their fire station by 6.25am.

The cause of the fire was accidental.

A fire service spokesperson said: "Now that the weather is getting colder, we would advise anyone with an open fire to ensure that they get their chimney swept."
