Bonfire - Bluntisham - Huntingdonshire

One crew from Huntingdon was called to a fire on Station Road in Bluntisham.

Firefighters arrived to find a bonfire that had spread to a fence and a shed. Using a hose reel they extinguished the fire and returned to their station by 11am.

The cause of the fire was accidental.

A fire service spokesman said: “When lighting a bonfire please ensure it is a safe distance from any buildings or fences, as it is very easy for it to spread. Also never leave a bonfire unattended, make sure there is someone supervising it until it has completely burnt out.”
