Chimney fire - Wansford - Peterborough

Two crews from Thorney and Dogsthorpe were called to a chimney fire at a home in Old North Road.

Firefighters used specialist equipment called chimney rods to extinguish the fire and returned to their stations by 9.16pm.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Please ensure you keep your chimney swept regularly and brickwork inspected at least once a year to help prevent a chimney fire.”
