Crews from Dogsthorpe and Stanground were called to a house fire in Padholme Road, Peterborough.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel and cover jet to extinguish the fire and returned to their stations by 7.37am.

A cat was rescued from the house.
