“More than half of all fires in the home start in the kitchen and distraction is the biggest cause of kitchen fires. Ensure you do not leave flammable items near the hob and never leave cooking unattended or cook when you are distracted or tired. If you do have a fire in the house always ensure that you get out, stay out and dial 999.
