House fire - Eastfield - Peterborough

One crew from Dogsthorpe, one crew from Stanground and one crew from the Peterborough Volunteers Fire Brigade were called to a fire in Eastfield, Peterborough.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire on Padholme Road. A pile of rubbish was alight in the front garden of the property and was spreading to the rest of the house. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and jets and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

The property was evacuated before the crews arrived.

The crews returned to their stations by 3.10am.

The cause of the fire was deliberate. Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111
