Van fire – A1 - Huntingdonshire

At 12.19pm on Thursday (3) crews from Chatteris and Huntingdon, along with the north roaming fire engine, were called to a fire on the A1 near Alconbury. 

Firefighters arrived to find a van on fire on the southbound carriageway. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and returned to their stations by 2pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
