Lorry fire - Orton Longville - Peterborough

At 2.53pm on Thursday 10 August crews from Dogsthorpe and Stanground were called to a lorry fire on Robert Rayner Close in Orton Longville.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in a bin lorry. They safely escorted the lorry back to its depot and used a hose reel to extinguish the fire before returning to their stations by 3.53pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
