Combine harvester fire - Woodwalton - Huntingdonshire

At 3.30pm on Tuesday 22 August the north roaming fire engine, along with crews from Huntingdon, Ramsey and Thorney were called to a combine harvester fire on New Road in Woodwalton.

Firefighters arrived to find a combine harvester well alight, which had spread to a large area of a field. Wearing breathing apparatus firefighters used hose reels and small gear, along with the misting unit and water carrier to extinguish the fire. They returned to their stations by 6.40pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
