Van fire - Chatteris - Fenland

At 10pm on Wednesday (5) a crew from Chatteris was called to a fire on Old Station Place in Chatteris.
Firefighters arrived to find a van on fire at the rear of a of a block of flats. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and cleared the smoke from the flats using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
The crew returned to their station by 10.55pm.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
