House fire - Wittering - Peterborough

At 4.25pm on Wednesday 19 July crews from Stanground and Dogsthorpe were called to a house fire on Embry Road, Wittering.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the kitchen of a house. Wearing breathing apparatus they used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan. A female casualty was treated for minor burns.

The crews returned to their stations by 5.54pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
