Flat fire - Wisbech - Fenland

At 2.37am on Friday (15) crews from Wisbech and March along with crews from West Walton, Outwell and Kings Lynn South from Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service were called to a flat fire on Anchor View in Wisbech.

Firefighters arrived to find an electrical box well alight in a ground floor flat. Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel and CO2 extinguisher to extinguish the fire and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

Crews returned to their stations by 4.35am.

The cause of the fire was believed to be accidental.
