House fire - Chatteris - Fenland

At 12.02pm on Wednesday (20) a crew from Chatteris, along with the north roaming fire engine, was called to a fire on Beaufort Drive in Chatteris.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the kitchen of a house. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel, then cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

The crews returned to their stations by 1.45pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
