House fire – Wisbech - Fenland

At 1.33pm on Monday (25) crews from Wisbech and March, along with crews from Kings Lynn in Norfolk, were called to a fire on Walton Road in Wisbech. 

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the kitchen of a house. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan. A male casualty was treated for smoke inhalation.  

The crews returned to their stations by 3.45pm.  

The cause of the fire was accidental.
