Mince Pie & Coffee Event to help Huntingdon businesses and residents learn about fire safety
Huntingdon Fire Station is opening its doors for a special Mince Pie and Coffee Event this Friday (Dec 2) so local businesses and residents can learn how to keep their homes and businesses safe over the Christmas period.
Firefighters will be talking to homeowners about electrical safety, candles and Christmas decorations.
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service also offers fire protection visits for businesses, making sure that firms comply to legal safety requirements. Watch Commander Rob Foreman said firefighters will be talking to Huntingdon businesses about these visits as well as the free monthly business seminars the Service runs.
The event, organised by firefighter Graham George, will see Huntingdon Fire Station, on Hartford Road, open its doors between 10.30am and 1.30pm.
WC Foreman thanked Tesco for donating mince pies for the event. Donations on the day will go towards The Fire Fighters Charity
