Persons trapped - Tilbrook - Huntingdonshire

A crew from Kimbolton was called to rescue a man who had become stuck in the trough of a conveyer belt, 10 ft in the air, following a back injury.

Firefighters had to wait for a HART team (a specialist medical response team) to arrive to administer the male casualty some pain relief before they could help him down and had to take a stretcher apart and reassemble it before lowering him down and handing him over to the ambulance service.

Watch Commander Russell Gooderham said: “It was quite a difficult rescue because of the locality of where the man was but with good interagency working we had a successful outcome.”
