Excellence Awards 2011

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service celebrated long service, staff achievements and support from the local community at its annual awards evening on June 9.

About 150 guests arrived at the Marriott Hotel in Huntingdon for the ceremony, including recipients of medals, winners of awards and their families.

The evening was hosted by Chief Fire Officer Graham Stagg, with High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire Richard Barnwell presenting Long Service and Good Conduct medals.

Individual Achievement Award

An outstanding team achievement or a team that has consistently performed above expectations throughout the year.

Retained Employer of the Year

An employer that has demonstrated excellent support to the retained duty system.

Fundraiser of the Year

An individual, team or event which has raised a significant amount of money for a charity or other good cause.

Certificates of Commendation

An external stakeholder (such as a business or member of the community) that has demonstrated excellent support to the Service.
