Visit a fire station

If you would like to find out more about being an On-call Firefighter, why not go along to your local fire station on one of their training evenings?  There is no obligation to join, just turn up and talk to the firefighters there to find out more about what it is like to be a firefighter.

The table below lists the times and days of the training evenings at each of our on-call fire stations. For fire station addresses, click here.

Should you join, you will be expected to attend your station's training evening each week and there may be extra training courses which are occasionally held outside of these times. The training evenings are in addition to the call-outs you will attend each week when available and you will be paid to attend them.

If you are uncomfortable about attending a training night at your local station, you can contact Recruitment on 01480 444500 or by email.
