Seasonal safety
Winter
The following pages have been created to help you and your family stay safe whatever the weather, occasion or event.
At the moment we are in the heart of the winter months and this season's hot (or rather, cold) topics are:
- How to stay safe, but warm this winter
- Winter safety advice for drivers
- Kitchen fire safety
- Electrical Fire Safety Week - January 23 to 29
Winter can be a cold, but exciting time of year, with plenty of events and occasions going on. It's also a time of year when many of us spend more time staying warm at home in the evenings and weekends.
Open fires, electric blankets, atmospheric candles, ice, snow and lots of hot comfort food can be common features during the winter months, however, they can also be dangers.
Don't ignore your own safety - Please take the time to look through this advice and find out if you can make a few small changes to make your winter safer.
The winter topics are supported by Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service and its partner agencies under the umbrella of Cambridgeshire Together and Safer Peterborough.
