Seasonal safety
Summer
The following pages have been created to help you and your family stay safe whatever the weather, occasion or event.
The weather experts are forecasting a long, dry summer this year. With this in mind, Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service wants to advise residents on how to have fun, but stay safe in the sun.
Most people will be enjoying the warmer weather with barbecues, bonfires and more time spent out and about. This, along with the weather drying out vegetation, makes fires in fields and gardens more likely. By following a few simple precautions the risk of these fires ruining your summer can be greatly reduced.
Don't ignore your own safety - Please take the time to look through this advice and find out if you can make a few small changes to make your summer safer.
The summer topics are supported by Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service and its partner agencies under the umbrella of Cambridgeshire Together and Safer Peterborough.
