fire station open day

Attending your event

We are regularly asked for fire crews to visit schools, community events and local organisations. This can range from showing a local scout pack around their nearest station or taking a fire engine to a primary school or village fete. Where we can we will always try to attend events, but we do receive many requests from places across the county.

Any group, school, charity or community organisation that would like to request a visit by a fire crew and/or engine can do so by filling in our contact form. Please ensure you provide as much information as possible, including the date and details of the event (if applicable), a contact telephone number and any other relevant information.

We receive lots of requests to attend various places and events throughout the year. As such we often have to prioritise where we can attend. This is based on the activity we can deliver, such as road and water safety and keeping fire safe in the home. We are unable to attend nursery or pre-schools, but instead we can offer some resources for classes to use. These are called Big Red Fire Engine boxes and are available on request.

Our Business Support Group will be in touch within 14 days of the form being received to go through some simple questions about the visit. The more information you can provide initially will help ensure the request is processed a quickly as possible.
