Young people taking part in Prince's Trust activities

Prince's Trust Team

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service is one of the key players in delivering the Prince's Trust Team programme in Fenland, Cambridgeshire.

The first programme in Fenland started in May 2014, and is run by Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS), in partnership with Cambridgeshire Constabulary, CFRS and the College of West Anglia.

NFRS has run the 12-week personal development course in Norfolk for 10 years with more than 1,000 young people completing the programme. It is now being expanded in Fenland after a need was identified by local organisations.

Participants aged 16 to 25 take part in teambuilding activities, a week-long residential, a community project, work placements, careers advice and support, presentation skills and team challenges. At the end of the course students  gain a Prince's Trust Certificate in Employment, Teamwork and Community skills and an Emergency First Aid Certificate.
