Fire in the open - New England - Peterborough

A crew from Dogsthorpe was called to a large unattended bonfire in the rear garden of a property in St Paul’s Road.

Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and returned to their station by 1.27am.

Cause of the fire was accidental.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Please ensure bonfires are built away from properties and other structures and are extinguished fully before leaving the area.”
