House fire - Walton - Peterborough

On Thursday (8) at 9.38am, one crew from Stanground, one crew from Dogsthorpe and the north roaming pump were called to a house fire on South View, Walton.

Crews arrived to find a house alight, with heavy smoke coming from the rear of the property. Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used two hose reels and one jet to extinguish the fire. A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke.

All persons were out of the house prior to the arrival of the Fire Service.

All crews returned to their stations by 1.50pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
