Building fire - Bretton - Peterborough

On Friday (30) ay 8.43pm, one crew from Dogsthorpe, one crew from Stanground, one crew from Peterborough Volunteer Fire Brigade, one crew from Yaxley, one crew from Whittlesey and the multistar aerial appliance were called to a building fire in Bretton.

Crews arrived to find The Silver Jubilee, a derelict pub on Heltwate, Bretton, well alight, with smoke visible from a mile away.

Firefighters worked in sections to extinguish the fire, and used the multistar as a water tower.

All crews returned to their stations by 1.10am. The building was re-inspected the following morning.
