Bin fire – city centre - Peterborough

At 6.13am on Tuesday (22) one crew from Dogsthorpe and one crew from Stanground were called to a fire on Hawksbill Way in Peterborough city centre.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the bin store of a six storey building. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and returned to their stations by 8.30am.

The cause of the fire was deliberate. Anyone with information should contact police by visiting to submit an online report or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
