Car fire – A428 - South Cambs

At 5.47pm on Saturday (23) one crew from St Neots and one crew from Cambridge were called to a fire on the A428.

Firefighters arrived to find a car on fire on the eastbound carriageway between Caxton Gibbet and Cambourne. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and returned to their stations by 7.20pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
