Flat fire – St Ives - Huntingdonshire

At 7.58pm on Sunday (24) one crew from St Neots and one crew from Cambridge were called to a fire on Norris Lane in St Ives.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in a first floor flat. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and a jet and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

One male casualty was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.

The crews returned to their stations by 9.30pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
