Road traffic collision – A14 - South Cambs

At 10.22am on Friday (29) three crews from Cambridge and one crew from Huntingdon were called to a road traffic collision on the A14.

Firefighters arrived to find a collision involving a heavy goods vehicle and a horse box on the westbound carriageway between Bar Hill and Dry Drayton.

Crews worked with a vet and a recovery company to move the horse box to a safe location to release nine horses. Two suffered minor injuries and were left with the owner and the vet.

No other casualties were involved.

The crews returned to their stations by 12.55pm
