Fire in the open – Peakirk - Peterborough

At 2.48pm on Wednesday (25) one crew from Whittlesey and one crew from Market Deeping in Lincolnshire were called to a fire on Meadow Road in Peakirk.

Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire involving around 100 by 25 metres of grass. They extinguished the fire using hose reels and returned to their stations by 4.45pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
