Silo fire – Eye - Peterborough

At 3.58pm on Wednesday (25) one crew from Dogsthorpe and one crew from Stanground were called to a fire on Whitepost Road in Eye, Peterborough.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in an agricultural silo. They extinguished the fire using a hose reel and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

The crews returned to their stations by 4.55pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
