Fire in the open – Glatton - Huntingdonshire

At 6.57pm on Wednesday (8) crews were called to a fire on Sawtry Road in Glatton.

Crews from Stanground, Sawtry, Yaxley, and Ramsey attended the incident.

Firefighters arrived to find a combine harvester and around two acres of farm land well alight. The fire was extinguished using hose reels and officers returned to their stations at 9.44pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
