Fire in the open – Hemingford Abbots - Huntingdonshire

At 11.56am on Wednesday (8) crews were called to a fire near Rideaway in Hemingford Abbots.

Crews from St Ives, Huntingdon, Cambridge and the south roaming fire engine attended the incident.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving around 30 acres of farmland and extinguished it using hose reels. They returned to their stations by 3.15pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
