Flat fire - Chesterton - Cambridge

On Friday (21) at 10.14am, one crew from Cambridge and the south roaming fire engine were called to a flat fire on Cannon Court, Chesterton.

Crews arrived to find smoke issuing from a first floor flat.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the fire, before using a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke. The crews returned to their stations by 11.15am.

All persons were accounted for.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
