On Sunday (30) at 1.10pm, one crew from Stanground and one crew from Dogsthorpe were called to a house fire on Crowhurst, Werrington.
Crews arrived to find a fire in the bedroom. Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, and rescued one dog.
Both crews returned to their stations by 4.20pm.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
