Building fire - Market ward - Cambridge

On Wednesday (28) at 9.24am, two crews from Cambridge were called to a building fire on Newmarket Road, Cambridge.

Crews arrived to find a fire in the kitchen of a restaurant. Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire, before using a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke.

One casualty was treated for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire was accidental. Both crews returned to their station by 10:30am.
