At 8.17pm on Wednesday (26) one crew from Gamlingay and crews from Potton and Sandy in Bedfordshire were called to a fire on Everton Road in Gamlingay.
Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire in a bedroom of a house. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and a jet and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
One female casualty required treatment for smoke inhalation.
The crews returned to their stations by 10.30pm.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
