On Friday (4) at 6.12pm, one crew from Wisbech was called to a chimney fire on High Road, Newton.

Firefighters used small gear to extinguish the fire, before returning to their station by 7.45pm.

A fire service spokesperson said: “Please ensure that you get your chimney swept and brickwork inspected at least once a year. This will help to prevent a chimney fire.”
