Chimney fire - Romsey Ward - Cambridge

On Friday (4) at 6.28pm, one crew from Cottenham was called to a chimney fire on Belgrave Road, Cambridge.

Firefighters used a hose reel and small gear to extinguish the fire, before returning to their station by 7.40pm.

A fire service spokesperson said: “Please ensure that you get your chimney swept and brickwork inspected at least once a year. This will help to prevent a chimney fire.”
