Chimney fire - Chatteris - Fenland

On Sunday (6) at 2.35pm, one crew from Chatteris was called to chimney fire on High Street, Chatteris.

Firefighters used small gear and rods to extinguish the fire, before returning to their station by 4.10pm.

A fire service spokesperson said: “Please ensure that you get your chimney swept and brickwork inspected at least once a year. This will help to prevent a chimney fire.”
