Building fire - Whittlesey - Fenland

On Wednesday (16) at 12.29am, one crew from Whittlesey, one crew from Stanground and one crew from Thorney were called to a building fire on Whitmore Street, Whittlesey.

Crews arrived to find a fire in a building which had spread to a neighbouring restaurant.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used two hose reels and a jet to extinguish the fire, before dampening the area down.

All crews returned to their stations by 2.45am.

All persons were accounted for.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
